Wade Alexander is the author of Sister Elizabeth Kenny: maverick heroine of the polio treatment controversy.

In 1943 Wade was treated for polio by his mother using Kenny methods. In 1994 Wade resolved to write about Kenny after visiting Australia. After an epic nine years of research he produced the most authoritative biography of Elizabeth Kenny produced to this day. The book is available through Outback Books at www.outbackbooks.com which is a not-for-profit publishing house that is a division of Central Queensland University. Wade has recently re-edited his original lengthy manuscript and is willing to share his manuscript with other researchers.
